this one will land with plenty of people for obvious reasons.. It should not take this much effort for people to feel looked after.
Another fancy toy for farmers who've got money to burn. Bet it can't handle a real mud patch.
nah, I'd want to see it after a season of Waikato mud before I'd buy one.
Looks interesting but how long does the battery last on a full charge? Would need to last a full day.
e-bikes have quick-swap batteries now, so you could have a spare charging in the shed.
Worked on a dairy farm last season. The noise of traditional bikes is a real issue with the cows. Quiet e-bike could be a game changer for herd stress.
Right? Less noise spooking the cows is a big plus.
My neighbour's been using an e-moto for a year. He says it's great but charging infrastructure on remote parts of the farm is a pain.
point, but you just plug it in overnight. We've got power in most sheds now.
Good on them! Love seeing NZ innovation at Fieldays. Hope it's affordable for the average farmer.
Price tag? Bet it's more than a ute.
a sign saying $8k. Not cheap but cheaper than a new ute.
Might be alright for checking fences but you can't beat a horse or a quad bike for real farm work.
need feeding and quads are loud and smell. Different tools for different jobs I reckon.
You feel this kind of change immediately when you are out and about. A lot of frustration comes from the basics not lining up.
From a work point of view, this makes a lot of sense. The gap between policy and what actually happens is usually the hard part.
