Honestly the water here has been dodgy for years so I don't mind paying a bit more if it means clean drinking water.
same, I'd rather pay for clean water than watch them waste it on more roundabouts tbh
lol councillors voting against it like that makes a difference. always the same story, rates go up and we just cop it.
Wonder if they'll ever fix the potholes on the way to Turangi or just keep spending on 'consultants'

Actually the Hātepe water treatment plant is critical infrastructure that's been deferred for a decade. 2.9% of the increase for that is reasonable given compliance requirements from Taumata Arowai.
