More temporary beds? How about hiring more nurses instead of this band-aid fix every winter? Ffs.
100% this. It's a joke how underfunded the system is.
At least they're doing something. Winter always hits hard, and the staff are doing their best under pressure.
They're trying though. Rome wasn't built in a day.
tbh I'd rather they spend money on preventing people getting sick in the first place. but nah let's just keep patching the system lol
Yeah right, more beds but where's the staff to look after the patients? Classic.

I work at the hospital and we're already stretched thin. These 'extra staff' won't be trained in time for the surge.
thanks for what you do. It's a mess out there.
Every year it's the same story. Wake me up when they actually fix the root cause instead of putting a plaster on it.
People need to take better care of themselves and stop clogging up ED for sniffles. That'd help.
that to someone who can't afford a GP and ends up in ED.
cope, it's a systemic issue not a personal one.
Yeah nah get stuffed, we pay taxes so we can get care when we need it. Not everyone can just 'stay healthy' mate.
