get stuffed mate, kem's articles are the only good thing in this paper
wow who pissed in your weetbix this morning
Imagine bumping into one of these on your morning walk. Would be both awesome and terrifying. Wonder what they sounded like.
heard they sounded like a cross between an ostrich and a wookie mate
my granddad reckons he found a moa bone on his farm back in the 70s but the museum bloke said it was just a cow bone lol classic nanna's boy

haha classic granddad stories. my pop reckons he saw a live one in the bush in 1965, proper old yarn
Kem Ormond always digs up the coolest old articles. This country had giant chickens wandering around not that long ago in geological terms. Crazy.
beautiful reminder of how special nz is. my kids love seeing the reconstructions at the museum. hope we never lose that wonder.
bet the early maori had a hell of a time hunting these. imagine throwing a spear at something that tall. respect fr.
yeah nah wonder is fine but we've got live birds right now that are endangered and nobody cares. priorities people.
i unno, my kid could tell you 50 moa facts but cant spell 'cat' so it's a tradeoff
