Oh fantastic, another life lost because our 'world-class' health system can't even manage a waiting room. Absolutely fuming. Prayers to the whānau, but honestly, this is heartbreaking and avoidable. When will the government actually care about real Kiwis instead of photo ops? 😤
went to waikato ED a few months back. waited 8 hours with a broken arm. was told 'it's not life threatening'... yeah mate, neither is sepsis until it is. absolute joke.

More money isn't the answer if it's all wasted on bureaucracy. We need better management, not just more cash thrown at the problem.
it's not just management. Underfunding is the root cause. You can't manage your way out of no staff or beds.

it's so frustrating watching this happen over and over. our health system is literally broken and nobody in power cares enough to fix it. we need better funding NOW.

I'm a nurse at Waikato. We do our best but we're drowning. Nine hours is unacceptable but we have no beds, no staff. Please be kind to front line workers, we're broken too.

Not just funding, we need a complete overhaul. Triage system is a joke. RIP to that poor man. No one should die on a waiting room floor.
