i had a relative in a similar place in chch. it's grim. nobody cares till it hits the news.
mate i work in a ward like this. understaffed, underpaid, zero support. managers don't give a toss. don't blame the floor staff.

it's the system mate. they treat staff like rubbish too.
as a psych student this is horrifying but not surprising. the system is broken at every level.
