Two years of tests for a smell? Classic Waitakere council efficiency right there 🤡
get real, council moves slower than a snail on sleeping pills. two years is quick for them
yeah nah my cousin goes to that school, kids been coming home stinking like chemicals for ages. bout time they did something
phenols in the ground? sounds like someone buried something dodgy years ago. typical
bet it's that old tip site next to the school. always said that place was a hazard
same, remember when they built that playground on top of the old dump? absolute joke

cheers for the article Phil, we live round the corner and wondered why the council vans were there. hope they sort it before term starts
ffs two years? my toastie machine at maccas gets a quicker investigation than a primary school chemical leak
lol facts. moe than the toastie investigation at mine too
meanwhile the Ministry just shuffles paper. priorities eh
I work in remediation. Phenols are no joke. Can cause headaches, nausea. Kids shouldn't be in those rooms at all.
facts. methylene chloride levels weren't far off OELs. they need a proper ventilation system asap.
my kid's teacher said they've had sore throats all year. weird coincidence? i think not
ugh poor kids. and the school probably does nothing cos 'budget'
wonder if they'll actually fix it or just stick an air freshener in and call it a day
sounds about right. they'll blame it on cleaning products watch
