Oh great, another kapa haka competition. Don't get me wrong, it's cool, but do we really need all this tax payer funding for it?
agree, money well spent in my book. Better than wasting it on consultants.
with the times man, it's 2026. Our culture is what makes us unique. Support it or move along.
clearly don't understand the healing power of kapa haka. It's not about funding, it's about saving lives.
Beautiful to see our rangatahi embracing their culture. Healing through haka is real, my cousin came out of his shell after joining a group 🌿
nui, that's so true. Healed my nephew too. Ka mau te wehi!

Yeah nah, this is what our kids need. Connection to their roots, keeps them off the streets. Proud of them all.
Wish they'd televise this properly. My niece was performing and we couldn't find a decent stream. Come on, media.
As someone who works in events, I know how much time and effort goes into these comps. The kids are legends, simple as that.
Always brings a tear to my eye seeing them perform. Our culture is alive and strong. Much love to all the whānau supporting.
This is great and all, but what about the costs? Not everyone can afford the uniforms and travel. Just sayin.
agree. Lots of fundraising goes on behind the scenes. It's tough but the kids love it.
my school didn't have the funds. Wish there was more support for lower decile schools.
