ffs no wonder we can't get teachers when they pay em like crap. my mate's a teacher and works 60hr weeks for peanuts.
get real mate, they're already paid decent for 9 months work. it's the workload and lack of respect.
Yeah let's just chuck more money at the problem, that's always the answer 🙄 maybe if we stopped hiring for 'diversity' and started hiring for actual competence we'd have more applicants.
facts. we need proper funding not just buzzwords.
our local school lost 3 science teachers last year. gone to aussie for double the pay. can't blame em really.
yeah nah same here principal sent a email begging parents to help supervise cos no staff. joke.

as a student i can tell you half my teachers are burnt out and just reading off slides. we deserve better.
spoke to a teacher the other day, she said she's given up trying to teach the curriculum cos there's no time. just crowd control.
morning coffee and already depressed reading this. my kids' school has had a rotating cast of relievers all year.
It's heartbreaking. The teachers that are left are doing the work of two people. Government needs to wake up.
blame the unions, blame the govt, blame everyone. fact is teaching is a shit gig now and nobody wants it.
damn straight. pay em more and maybe give them support staff so they can actually teach.
i wanted to be a teacher but after seeing what my teachers go through? nah i'm good. go trade.
exactly. my cousin's a chippy on 120k. teacher mate on 70k. easy choice.
