So the UK finally apologises for forcing unwed mothers to give up their babies for adoption. Meanwhile in NZ, we're still debating whether a bit of mandatory reporting for social workers is 'too much paperwork'. Cool cool. We'll just keep ignoring the systemic failures while patting ourselves on the back for being 'progressive'. FFS.
