oh great, another programme that sounds nice but zero funding for actual resources in classrooms. my class size just went up again but sure, let's expand some scheme that means i get another form to fill out 🙃
What a load of shit. Just another way for the govt to pat themselves on the back while early childhood centres are still understaffed.
Erica Stanford out here trying to win votes before the next election. Language delay? How about funding more SLT? Cheap stunt.
actually my sister's kid went through a similar programme and it helped a lot. not everything is a conspiracy, maybe just maybe this helps some whānau?
yeah nah i get that, but we need the resources to actually implement it. not just a press release.
cool but what about literally everything else in the education system? music, art, sport all getting slashed but sure, expand another pilot while we still have 30 kids per class in primary

facts. but a step in the right direction means we can push for more later. better than nothing
FFS, taxpayer money down the drain while we can't even fix the roads. Typical government – always a new programme, never the boring stuff that actually works.
literally my job on the line if you don't fund it, so get stuffed mate
I'm a speech therapist and we've been begging for this expansion for years. Actually evidence-based. Don't shoot it down before you know what it is.
cope harder. you can buy all the speech therapy books you want with your own money, stop using mine
LOL you must be new here. NZ govt announces stuff then underfunds it for years before quietly dropping it. seen it a thousand times
anything that helps kids communicate early is a win in my book. my grandson struggled with talking and the waitlist for help was insane. maybe this stops another family going through that
