so treasury knew this was gonna be a disaster and still rolled out the 'advice' we got. classic.

Makes you wonder if they actually think before they write anything. Like, "yeah nah, let's wait and see" really bought us time 🙄

as someone working in the industry, i can tell you this crisis was avoidable if they'd listened to us on the ground months ago. but nah, suits know better.

i reckon they did what they could with what they had. easy to criticise after the fact.
