Michelin guide? In Wellington? Yeah nah, I reckon they just gave it to anyone with a tablecloth.
mate, it's a circlejerk for rich tourists.
Booming? Good for them. Can we get a restaurant that doesn't cost a week's rent for a main though?
Facts. And they wonder why everyone just goes to Maranui for a $20 cabinet scone.
Honestly stoked for the local scene! The hospitality people work so hard, they deserve the recognition.

Worked in hospo for 10 years. Michelin doesn't mean anything in NZ. It's just a marketing gimmick.
come on, give em a break. It's a tough industry.
Yeah look, I'll believe it when I can actually get a booking that isn't three months out…
were already booming before Michelin showed up. It's just an excuse to hike prices.
Visited one of the recognised spots last week. Food was good but the service was slow af. Typical.
London has Michelin stars, Paris has Michelin stars… Wellington has a swollen stormwater drain. Haha just jokes, good on them.
As a broke student: cool, more overpriced cauliflower steaks I can't afford 🙃
lol same, my flatmate tried to cook a Michelin recipe and set the smoke alarm off
