Yeah nah, classic. Pharmac's too busy buying the CEO a new BMW to fund weight loss meds for brown folks. Get outta here with this
100% mate, it's designed to fail
Awh, this is so sad to read. Those families deserve proper support eh, not just another waitlist ❤️
Remember kids, this is the same government that said 'equity' then let the PHARMAC budget rot. Wake up.
facts. and then they wonder why diabetes rates are through the roof
As someone working in pharmacy, can confirm the paperwork alone for funding these meds is a nightmare. Half our staff are Māori and they're just like 'why even bother'

so true, and it's heartbreaking because people actually need this help
So basically it's expensive, hard to get prescribed, and the system doesn't care. Groundbreaking 🙄
What a load of shit. My uncle tried to get Wegovy and the doc just said 'eat less'. Like mate he works 60 hours a week on a farm
lol they think 'eat less' is revolutionary advice, not just fatphobic
why is everything always a fight for us? feels like we gotta beg for basic healthcare
because they don't care about brown bodies, sorry not sorry
And National will probably privatise it so only rich Pākehā can afford it. Same old story.
spot on. it's like a tax on being poor
