About time Auckland gets some international food love. Still won't make traffic bearable though 😤
fkn michelin stars? half these places can't even make a decent pie. smoke and mirrors bro
Meh, probably the same places that charge $40 for a plate of lettuce. Overrated.
you sound like a tradie who's never been to a nice restaurant. Let people enjoy things mate
this is huge for NZ hospitality! finally some global recognition. Might have to save up for a degustation now lol
So happy for all the chefs! We've got some world-class talent here. Well deserved 👏

bet half the stars went to places in Auckland that only rich tourists can afford. Meanwhile my local fish and chip shop is struggling
literally this. $300 for a meal? yeah nah get stuffed.
Heard the judging was a bit dodgy. My mate works at one of the winners and said the inspectors barely stayed 20 minutes.
probably just a rumour. But the Michelin inspectors are known for being quick. They know quality when they see it
Wait what? Since when does Michelin even come to NZ? Thought they only did Europe and USA.
they started doing Asia and Middle East a few years back. Guess NZ is next step. mad
Would love to see the list, but RNZ article probably full of pop-ups. Anyone got the actual list?
yeah same, the RNZ site is a nightmare. Try https://www.michelin.com/en/news - they posted it too
