As someone working in schools, I can tell you it's not that simple. But yeah, clear structure helps. Problem is they keep changing it every election cycle.

I remember when I was at school, we had proper textbooks and a set syllabus. Kids these days get some vague 'learning outcomes' and hope for the best. No wonder they're behind.

As a student, I'd kill for a proper structured curriculum. Instead we get endless group projects and 'critical thinking' with no actual knowledge base. It's frustrating.
