Absolute disgrace. Wait times at Waikato ED have been a joke for years. Someone dies in the waiting room and they do a 'rapid review'? Get stuffed.
Couldn't agree more. It's heartbreaking to see this happen.
Yeah nah this is fucked. My nan waited 6 hours there last month with a broken hip. Lucky she didn't die in the chair.
So sad for the family. Health system is totally broken and it's real people paying the price. 💔
story different day. Nothing will change.
Tbh I'm not even surprised anymore. Every week there's another story like this. What a joke.

cope. They'll just blame covid and move on.
classic government response... 'rapid review' = sweep it under the rug. meanwhile the staff are overworked and the patients suffer. ffs.
stuffed. People are dying and you're making jokes.
But don't worry, the new bike lanes are coming along nicely 👌
My cousin works there and says the triage system is a mess. No beds, no staff. This was inevitable.
the whole system is flogged. Vote better next time.
It's not just Waikato. Every ED in the country is in crisis. But yeah let's fund another stadium instead.
Facts. I've given up on them ever fixing this.
Rapid review? More like rapid cover-up. Pathetic.
down mate, it's just a comment. But yeah it's shit.
Waikato DHB / Te Whatu Ora should be held criminally liable. This is manslaughter by neglect.
