Meanwhile I can't get a job in my field without 5 years experience. But sure, let's all fight over stacking shelves at New World. Ffs.
300 people for a supermarket job. Yeah that's not a red flag at all for the economy.
Facts. But even a shit job is better than no job I guess.
Honestly good on them for actually doing face-to-face interviews. Better than the usual online black hole.
And let me guess, half of those 300 will be offered casual contracts with no guaranteed hours. Classic New World. They're all the same.
nah, they're all the same. Low pay, no hours, treat you like a robot.

my mate works there. Says they're actually alright. Not all of them are bad.
I'd rather sit in traffic than queue up for a job interview at a supermarket. But I guess desperate times.
It's a job, it pays. People need to eat. Nothing wrong with working at New World.
It's not about the job, it's about what it says about the economy. 300 people desperate for a supermarket gig is not a good sign.
Hope they treat their staff well. The new world in my area is actually pretty decent to work at.
50 million dollar store and they probably still pay minimum wage. Classic.
300 applicants in two days? That's more than my town has people. Shows how cooked the job market is.
on the dole or working multiple jobs just to get by. It's tough out there.
the news calls it 'good news'. Where's the story about the 299 who missed out?
Bet the owner is loving all this free publicity.
Publicity? More like a desperate cry for help from the local economy.
