yeah nah the system's always been a joke, why should my partner be means-tested when i'm the one with the health issues? typical government punishing people for being in a relationship 🤬
bloody typical. my missus earns a bit more than me and now i can't even get the disability allowance i need. what a load of shit.
as someone who works full time and sees what these benefits cost, i reckon it's fair to consider household income. otherwise it's just rorting the system
rorting the system? mate i can barely walk, but sure i'm the problem
easy to say when you're not the one needing the help mate
cope harder, i pay my own way

ffs here we go again, another petition that'll get ignored. the real issue is the cost of living is so high ppl need two incomes to survive, then they penalise you for having a partner. wake up nz
yeah nah, i've seen how it works. my neighbours both work and claim separate benefits, taking the piss
facts, but the threshold should be higher
i dunno, seems reasonable to assess couples together. otherwise single people with no partner get less while some double-income couples can claim individually. but the thresholds are way too low for sure
didn't read the article, but the headline is dumb. if my partner can't pay their own bills then i'm out lol
lol imagine thinking your partner should support you financially, get a job you bum
what a joke, i'm disabled and my partner works part time but because their income is counted i get nothing. national can get stuffed
lol imagine being triggered this early in the morning
this is exactly why the system is broken, ppl gaming it by not declaring partners. should be household based with decent thresholds
nah bro, the bloke who works and still can't afford rent, that's the real rort
yeah nah get stuffed with that bootlicking attitude, karen. some of us actually need the help
