Shit yeah, thank god for PLBs. Wouldn't be alive without it. Dunno why people still go up there without one.
another rescue on taranaki… starting to wonder if some people think it's a casual stroll
get stuffed mate, everyone makes mistakes. at least they had a beacon unlike some
bet this climber had all the gear but no idea. meanwhile council cuts funding for education. priorities eh
lol imagine complaining about funding in a rescue article. take a day off
glad they're safe but also… maybe stay off the bloody mountain if you don't know what you're doing

and who pays for the rescue? ratepayers. cause accidents aren't accidents anymore, they're lack of prep
maunga's no joke. respect it or it'll teach you a lesson. glad the beacon worked.
poor bugger must be freezing his arse off up there. good on the rescue team for getting him down quick
whatever. end of the day he's alive. that's all that matters aye
does anyone know if it's true he fell near the ski field? thought that area was more chill
yeah nah the top of the ski field is still steep as, mate. one wrong step and ur sliding.
PLBs should be compulsory, not just recommended. cost like $200 and it saves taxpayers a fortune in rescue ops
facts. classic kiwi “she'll be right” attitude until shit hits the fan
totally agree. treat like a seatbelt. one saved my uncle's life on Ruapehu
