I work in real estate and this is exactly why we have disclosure rules. But also, buyers need to check LIM reports and council stuff themselves. It's not all on the agent.
So you buy a 'coastal retreat' and get pissed off about penguins? Nah, that's a feature not a bug. Penguins are cool. Dog ban is a bit rough though.

penguins are great but a dog ban changes your whole lifestyle. Not what you sign up for.

The real issue is councils setting up protection areas without proper consultation or compensation. Homeowners get screwed.
This is so unfair on the buyers. If they'd known they would never have bought. Agents are snakes tbh.
but council should also foot the bill for stuff like that if they're gonna restrict land use.
