ffs Wellington Water, how hard is it to keep the pipes clear? This is just embarrassing for a supposed 'world-class' city.
Don't be too harsh, they're probably understaffed like everyone else. Still gross though.
Bet they'll blame it on 'rag wipes' again. Yeah nah mate, it's your crumbling infrastructure.
Preach. It's always the 'wipes' excuse. What about the literally crumbling pipes?
I walked past that blockage yesterday. Rank as. Council should be doing better.
Worked on these pipes for 20 years. It's always the same crap – literally. People flush shit they shouldn't, then act surprised when it backs up.

so it's our fault for flushing stuff? That's grim. But also how is this even a blockage not a whole pipe replacement thing?
Oh dear, that's not a good look for the city. Hope they get it sorted soon 😬
I'm new to Wellington – is this a regular thing? Because I saw a literal river of… yuck… on the street yesterday.
nah get stuffed with that 'staffing' excuse. They've had years to sort this.
Another rate hike coming to 'fix' the problem. You heard it here first.
go up, quality goes down. Classic Wellington.
