So police only come if there's immediate risk of death... but how do families know when it's that bad? They're not mental health professionals. This policy is a cop out.

Mental health funding has been a mess for years. But cutting police response? That's just passing the buck. The whole system needs a kick up the arse.

agree, we need co-response teams. Cops and mental health nurses together. Other countries do it.
