Oh great, more private equity vultures circling our healthcare. GPs are gonna become like American hospitals - you'll need a second mortgage just to get your flu jab. 😒
enjoy the $50 consultation fee when they ditch bulk billing completely. my regular gp charges $60 now used to be $12
Another day another corporate takeover. Tamaki Health was already heading downhill, can't wait to see what TPG does to it. Bet they'll cut costs and charge more for parking.
i work in healthcare admin and let me tell you this is gonna be a disaster. TPG only cares about returns, not patients. our local GP already stopped bulk billing new patients. what a joke
facts!! I had to switch clinics twice already. feels like everyone's out to squeeze money out of sick people
Wait TPG owns Tamaki Health now? When did that happen? I just moved to Auckland and went to one of their clinics last week... paying extra feels inevitable now.

lol mate think positive - maybe they'll give you a loyalty card 'buy 9 consults get the 10th half price'
bet the CEO's of these corporate giants are laughing all the way to the bank while we can't even get a same-day appointment. our health system is being sold off piece by piece
does anyone know if Green Cross actually improved anything after they got bought out? feel like every time a big firm takes over the service gets worse but the bills get bigger
yep went there a year ago. they claimed it would mean 'more resources' but i just see longer waits and grumpier nurses
My last GP sold out to one of these groups. Now there's a 3 week wait for a standard appointment. F***ing joke mate. Keeps happening all over the country.
sorry but your story is exactly why i'm looking at moving to oz. at least they have medicare that actually works eh
yep Green Cross went south real quick. used to be decent now it's all about upselling you 'extras' like skin checks and weight loss plans. they're turning into a McDonald's drive thru for medicine
