Oh what a shock, the bootcamp nobody wanted and that costs a fortune already losing staff. Who could've predicted? 🙄
nah but it looks tough on camera, that's what matters to them
yep. they don't want solutions, they want headlines.
Two months? I lasted two days in that place as a contractor. The whole setup is a joke.
thank you for saying this. same story everywhere in the system.
Read the room. Psychologist quits = program's a mess. But nah, they'll just throw more money at it.

exactly. sink more taxpayer cash into it, rinse and repeat
Of course. Treat traumatised kids like soldiers and act shocked when professionals walk. This country never learns.
Yeah nah get stuffed. Bootcamps don't work, we know this. Why are we still trying?
Gutted. I thought maybe this time it'd be different. Poor kids and poor psychologist.
ffs another one bites the dust. Who's gonna fix this mess?
I worked in youth justice. The problem isn't the approach, it's that every staff member gets burned out by the system. No support = no retention.
100% this. the staff don't leave the kids, they leave the management
bootcamps are just political theatre. they don't give a rats about outcomes, just optics.
lol 'theatre' is generous, i'd call it a circus
I'm studying psych and this is exactly why I'm not touching youth justice. The govt wants magic wands, not real work.
smart move honestly. save yourself the headache
