Oh here we go, government squeezing the charities while giving tax cuts to their mates. Classic.
Can someone explain what this credit cap actually means for people donating?
means the maximum you can claim back on donations is being cut. So less incentive to give for those who itemise.
ffs, donate less then? not exactly rocket science
exactly my point
This is so short-sighted. Charities are already struggling with demand way up. My uni's food bank is running out weekly.

here, it's grim out there. And the cost of living just keeps piling on.
Yeah nah get stuffed. Who even uses donation tax credits except rich people? Most of us just give what we can.
you clearly haven't seen how many kiwis rely on food banks. This affects everyone.
Work in a charity shop. Our donations are down 30% this year. This is gonna hurt real people, not just the big fancy foundations.
Honestly, I still think we all need to look out for each other. Govt doesn't care? Fine, community does.
that to the families we turn away every week. Community spirit doesn't pay rent.
Another L for Labour. Ffs.
you still blaming labour? This govt's been in for ages too
Morning coffee ruined. Great start to the day reading this bullshit.
oof, feel that
