oh great, another study proving we've been poisoning our lakes. groundbreaking.
yeah nah, saw the same thing at our local lake last summer. bloody green slime everywhere. council does nothing as usual.
as an environmental science student this is exactly what we've been saying. dairy runoff is killing everything. but nah, keep milking those cows I guess 😒
another hit piece on farmers. we're doing more than ever to manage runoff but the media only wants bad news.
get stuffed. we've fenced off streams, planted natives, reduced fert. what have you done besides complain?
here we go. always blaming farmers when 80% of the problem is stormwater and sewage. read the actual report.

finally some proper DNA analysis. this is the kind of data we need to actually fix things, not just argue about it.
same. this is the kind of science we need to actually target solutions properly.
can't they just put some bleach in the lakes? seems simple enough.
don't give them ideas lol
tell me you know nothing about lakes without telling me lmao
ffs maybe if we didn't let corporations dump crap everywhere the lakes would be fine. but nah, profits over everything.
meanwhile the council spent $2m on a new fancy toilet block at the reserve. priorities eh?
too right mate. new picnic tables but you can't swim in the lake. classic.
honestly heartbreaking. our grandkids aren't gonna have any clean water left at this rate.
nah but seriously it's depressing. we've known for decades and done nothing.
