Scripted lessons? What a load of crap. Let teachers actually teach, not read from a script like robots.
mate. Rural schools have kids from all sorts of backgrounds, one size fits all is a joke.
Mate, if it works for some struggling teachers, why not? Not every newbie is a rockstar in the classroom.
but if they're not trained properly, the script is a crutch. Seen it happen, it's not pretty.
ffs, another top-down mandate from people who haven't set foot in a classroom in years. Rurally, every kid's different, one script won't cut it.
As long as they're not reading off a script while staring at the ceiling, I'm fine with some structure. Our youngest actually thrived with a scripted math programme.
