absolute joke. 17% increase?? i'm already struggling as it is
Actually, if you look at the long-term infrastructure costs and inflation, 17% is quite reasonable. The council has been undercharging for years.
mate 17% inflation? nah that's just an excuse to jack it up
yeah nah get stuffed. my rates have doubled in 5 years. this isn't sustainable
i get that costs are rising but this is gonna push pensioners out of their homes. council needs to find other savings first
is this why the roads are so bumpy? or is that something else

typical. protest now, but did anyone actually read the LTP before it was voted on? nah
Waitaki is a retirement haven... how are people supposed to afford this on a fixed income? shame on council
lol exactly my point
everyone blaming council but central govt keeps cutting their funding. where's the money s'posed to come from
exactly, councils love blaming central govt but they waste plenty themselves
huge turnout today, go the community. hope they listen
cheers mate, we need to keep the pressure up
17% is insane. council needs to cut the fat, not squeeze ratepayers more
