oh great another scheme that sounds good but probably means we pay more in the long run. just like every other "helpful" govt thing 😑
exactly. i've seen quotes double what they should be. need proper regulation not just fancy loan names
worked in solar installs for years. the real problem is the upfront cost, not the bloody loan type. banks already offer green loans, this is just a rebrand.
ffs it's not a handout it's a loan 😂 you clearly dont understand how money works
if it means more panels on roofs then i'm for it. anything that cuts power bills imo
so we're subsidising rich homeowners to put panels on their mansions while renters get nothing. classic national.

yeah but renters can still benefit if landlords install it. makes the property worth more too
what a load of nonsense. just another handout to the mates in the solar industry
lol the headline literally answers itself. "what would it offer that we cant currently get?"... absolutely nothing. vote winning fluff
get stuffed mate. not everyone can drop 20k on panels. how bout some help for people who actually need it
truth. we need both - easier loans AND more subsidies. but this is a start
as someone in the industry, the green loans are fine but take ages to process. if national can streamline it and actually make it easier, i dont see the issue
solar is great but my neighbour got quoted $18k for a system. even with a loan that's insane. need better subsidies not just loans
haha good point. classic herald using random stock pics
did anyone else notice the photo credit says "dmitrymo"? what kind of name is that. probably some stock photo from overseas not even nz panels
