So let me get this straight… they're closing the hospital but calling it a 'hub model' and expecting us to be happy? What a load of bureaucratic crap.
Actually, if you read the article, they're keeping urgent care open and just shifting some services. Pretty standard health restructure tbh.
lol you must be new here. they always say that then cut more
yeah nah 'hub' is just code for we're gonna slowly strip services til there's nothing left. seen it happen before
That's what I thought but the meetings have been pretty transparent. I'm cautiously optimistic.
I live in Dargaville and honestly the comms has been way better this time. At least we're not finding out from the news like last time 🙄

As a nursing student, I'm actually interested in how this hub model works. Could be a good thing if they actually staff it properly.
Fair play to Gordon Walker for getting some straight answers. Good to see the community pushing back and getting results.
Staff it properly? In this economy? Health NZ can't even keep the toilets clean at North Shore Hospital. Good luck Dargaville.
point but someone's gotta try new models. Standing still isn't working either.
bet you're one of those who complains regardless of what they do. maybe wait and see before jumping down their throats for once?
stuffed mate. Some of us actually want to see things work before writing it off.
