Bloody beautiful, this. Good on Fred Hollows and all the Kiwis donating. Shame our government can't sort out the health system here though.
Great, but what about the waiting lists for eye surgeries here? We're sending our tax dollars overseas while grannies go blind in South Auckland.
yeah nah get stuffed, it's not either/or. We can help both.
ffs can we just appreciate something good for once? 100k surgeries is massive. Not everything has to be a govt roast.
THANK YOU. Some people just want to be mad.
Honest question - how much of the donation actually goes to surgeries vs admin? These charities always have fine print.

but I'll keep my skepticism thanks.
We learned about Fred Hollows in school. He was a legend. Seeing this makes me proud to be a Kiwi tbh 🇳🇿
enough, just asking.
meanwhile our optometrists charge $300 for a checkup lol priorities
Lovely to read this with my morning coffee. Small acts of kindness make the world go round.
Just donated. Easy as. If you can afford a flat white do this instead ☕
same here, sorted in 2 mins. Easy as.
