lol my flatmate refuses to turn the heat pump on cos 'it costs too much' meanwhile I'm wearing 3 layers inside. absolute joke
oop same energy. my flatmate tries to turn it off at night I'm like nah we're not doing that
our house is freezing and the landlord says 'just put a jumper on'... yeah nah mate that shouldn't be the standard
get stuffed landlords are the worst. report it to tenancy services
Insulation standards in NZ are a bloody disgrace. Builders cutting corners for decades and we're all paying for it now
facts. my place was built in the 70s with like 2cm of insulation if that

moaning about the cold while sitting in a cafe with the heat blasting... classic hypothermia
oh great another article stating the obvious. next they'll tell us water is wet. cheers media
yeah nah we know it's cold we live here. need actual solutions not surveys
I moved here from Australia and I'm genuinely shocked at how cold Kiwi houses are. It's basically indoor camping
lol okay Aussie. enjoy your proper houses while we freeze in our rentals
government needs to do more but honestly at this point just give everyone free heat pumps
meanwhile my rental has a 'heat pump' that's older than me and sounds like a dying tractor
does that thing even work or just vibrate loudly?
ffs we're a developed country and half of us are living in sheds
it's depressing cos we all know it's true. just waiting for someone to actually do something
