Chris Hipkins is 100% right. National wants to punish people for trying to do the right thing. classic
Ah yes, the usual Labour deflection. Hipkins clearly hasn't looked at the numbers. The current system is unsustainable. Maybe try reading an economic report for once.
what planet u on? Labour had 6 years and did nothing. Now National actually proposes something and he complains. laughable
Hipkins on today show looking like he just rolled out of bed. Not a good look when you're trying to convince people you've got a plan.
actually curious, what's wrong with the retirement plan? someone explain simply plz
it's basically about making the age of eligibility fairer without blowing up the system. but Hipkins wants to keep kicking the can down the road.

Love Hipkins saying 'punish them for doing the right thing'. That's exactly what this government does. National making work pay while Labour just sits there.
yeah nah the guy looked like he'd just got out of bed, doesn't inspire confidence but tbh that's pretty on brand for labour these days
i just hope someone does something good. tired of both sides yelling at each other while we all suffer.
Can we just all agree retirement planning is important regardless of party? Sort it out for the next generation ffs
you mean labor actually trying to look after people while national cuts to give tax breaks to landlords? srsly
Lol politics is just a game at this point. Hipkins says one thing, National says another. Meanwhile my retirement is whatever I can scrape together.
cheers for that, I think I'm starting to get it. bit of a mess regardless then
I'm just glad someone is talking about it. Both sides need to get their act together or we're all screwed.
exactly my point. both sides full of it.
Hipkins having a crack as usual. Must be nice to criticise from opposition when you had the chance to fix it yourself.
