read this over my morning coffee and now I feel sick. these people have been let down by the system again and again. heartbreaking 💔
bet the people running it earn six figures tho. always the way.
yeah nah the whole redress scheme is a joke. my mate waited 18 months just for an acknowledgement letter. absolute shambles.
preach. but they'll just form another review panel and nothing will change. seen it 100 times.
worked in the system for years. seen first hand how survivors get treated like numbers. this article doesn't even cover half of it.
what a load of shit. government talks a big game but actions speak louder. they don't care about anyone who can't vote for them.

my uncle was in state care. died last year never got a cent. this country treats its most vulnerable like rubbish. fuming.
ffs that's disgusting. sorry about your uncle mate. system needs a complete overhaul.
honestly at this point just scrap and rebuild the whole thing. it's not working for anyone and survivors are being retraumatised. 😤
