Just a heads up for anyone renting in Auckland — if your landlord wants to increase your rent, they have to give you at least 60 days' written notice. And since 2021, rent can only go up once every 12 months. A mate of mine didn't know that and nearly got bumped twice in a year. Check your tenancy agreement and know your rights under the RTA. Saved me a few hundred bucks.
