Herald getting roasted by the Media Council? Love to see it. Their clickbait headlines have been out of control lately
nah the Herald has been awful for years, this is just one example
yeah nah, the Herald's been on a downhill slide for years. this is just a slap on the wrist, they'll keep doing it
Debt Awareness Week and they publish inaccurate debt stats... poetic justice or just pure incompetence?
as if anyone trusts the mainstream media anyway. all spin no substance
Honestly who cares? The headline was probably still true in spirit even if the figures were a bit off

yeah but the complaint was upheld so it's more than just 'in spirit'
nah mate, if the facts are wrong then the headline is wrong. doesn't matter if it 'feels' true
ffs the media council is just a toothless tiger. what actual consequences do they even impose?
toothless? they basically just said 'bad dog' and moved on. pathetic
actually the council can order corrections and force retractions. it's not nothing
As a journalism student, this is actually a big deal. The Media Council upholds less than 10% of complaints. This is a black mark for the Herald
about time someone held them accountable. the amount of misinformation they spread is criminal
lol this is why I get my news from Reddit
oh please, Reddit is just as bad if not worse
Debt Awareness Week and they're out here creating more debt of trust. ironic much?
