brilliant idea, force kids into kiwisaver at birth. might as well put a mortgage on their forehead too ffs
exactly! why is the gov so obsessed with controlling our money?
yeah nah, this is just another way to trap money. what if parents want a different savings option?
honestly it's not the worst idea. kids have 65 years to grow it. better than a big mac.
big Macs or kiwisaver? I pick the kiwisaver cheers
two parties want this so it'll probably pass. wonder which fund managers donated this time.

facts. follow the donations. national and labour both on the take
as an economics student I think the compounding could be insane. but policy wise it's a bit nanny state for me
my mum put $50 a week in my account since birth. turned into a decent house deposit. just saying.
lol what about the kids born poor? the kick-start is what, $1000? that's nothing vs inflation chipping away
fair point but even $1000 compounded over 65 years at 6% returns is like 45k inflation adjusted. not nothing
either way they need to fix the fees. these managers take too much cut
nah mate fees eat any gains. open your eyes
