Another one? What a load of shit. Our best farming land getting turned into pine trees for overseas profit. Who's running this country?
Same. Gov't sold us out years ago.
yeah nah get stuffed. We need food, not more forests for carbon credits.
I don't get it, why would you turn good farmland into forestry? Seems dodgy af.
Morning coffee and already reading this rubbish. These overseas buyers are just gonna keep buying up our land, and the govt lets it happen. Disgusting.
But forestry creates jobs too, right? Like planting and stuff. Not all bad...

nah, minimum wage forestry workers don't see that cash. It's all going overseas too.
As someone who works in forestry, I see both sides. The returns are just better for pine than sheep these days. Blame the market, not the buyer.
'good' for the investors mate. Not for locals.
Absolute joke. Meanwhile local farmers can't afford to buy land cos prices are jacked up. Great work Labour... oh wait they're gone and it's still happening. 🙄
Exactly. Politicians don't care as long as they get their cuts.
Wait until they start buying up water rights too. Then we'll really be screwed.
