Just saved $200 on my power bill by switching to a free night plan. Most Kiwis don't realise that if you can shift your heavy usage (hot water, dryer, dishwasher) to after 9pm, you can get cheaper rates. Check your current plan, compare on Powerswitch, and call your provider. Took me 20 minutes, worth it.
