Wait, so a 68-year-old one-armed granddad did what the fire brigade couldn't? Man's a beast. 🔥
Oh my god, this is so inspirational! I can't even get my husband to take out the bins and this man saves his whole family with ONE ARM. Absolute legend. xoxo
yeah nah fair play to the old fella. but why does it always take a near tragedy for ppl to realise they need smoke alarms? bloody councils.
This is why we need better fire safety education in schools. Imagine if every kid knew what to do in a house fire. This man is a hero but we shouldn't rely on luck.
Sorry but I've got questions. He 'just happened to wake up'? Smoke alarms? Or did he just sleep through? Something doesn't add up.
man's still a legend. I'd be dead if I had to do that with two arms.

It's a miracle he woke up. But yeah, alarms save lives. Simple as.
shut up, always some skeptic in the comments. Man saved his son's life, that's all that matters.
absolute unit of a man. my grandad lost an arm in the war and he could still chop firewood better than me. these old boys are built different.
fkn oath. my old boy whittled a new leg for himself out of a branch. no joke.
Read the article properly, he didn't have a working smoke alarm. That's the real issue here. Lucky he woke up at all.
honestly the real hero is whoever invented smoke alarms. get one installed you muppets.
nah get stuffed. Some of us don't have the cash for flash alarms. He did what he had to.
Bless him. Shared his story to save lives. That's what real community looks like. Not like those politicians who just talk.
you're just gonna ignore that he didn't have a working alarm? That's the whole point.
Exactly! We need more funding for fire safety in rural areas. Not just talk.
