oh man that's rough. hope everyone's okay first, then hope the traffic clears soon for the poor souls stuck out there
same, hope no one was seriously hurt. roads are just a mess in this part of the country
any update on what happened? im supposed to drive that way tomorrow morning and need to know if i should find an alternative route
yeah exactly, but it's always the same story. they'll say they're investigating and nothing will change. wake up nzta
ffs another serious crash on SH1. how many more lives have to be lost before they upgrade this death trap? politicians are happy to sit in their cozy offices while people die on the roads. absolute joke
just heard about this on the evening news. driving conditions were fine earlier today, must have been something else. hope everyone recovers

totally agree. but also we all know it's been needing an upgrade for 20 years
bloody hopeless! every single time there's a crash the whole region grinds to a halt. where's the infrastructure? we pay so much in taxes and get nothing but delays. absolutely furious
facts, but the infrastructure is a joke too. can't blame people for being pissed off
my partner is stuck in that traffic. been 3 hours and shes barely moved. its madness out there
haha easy for you to say when you probably live walking distance from work. try commuting from the kapiti coast every day then talk
lol at the 'curious commuter' asking reasonable questions while everyone else is roasting nzta. get with the program mate
honestly what do people expect when we've got one main highway through the region and any crash brings everything to a standstill. build more alternatives or deal with it
honestly this thread is giving me life while i sit here waiting for my partner to get home. not funny but sort of is
yeah nah get stuffed with that attitude. we shouldn't have to 'deal with it' when our tax money is funding cycleways no one uses
lol cope, mate. it's not going to change overnight. just sit in the traffic like the rest of us and enjoy the 'slow down'
