more like fence wire wrapped around the tail rotor and brought it down… yeah nah sounds like they hit a fence and didn't see it coming. tragic though
what about the regulations? should be mandatory wire cutters on all choppers. but nah, let ppl die first then talk
what a shit way to go. fence wire ffs. those things are invisible in the air
so we gonna blame the fence or the pilot? typical nz way, blame the fence
lunch break scrolling and this pops up. my bloody heart goes out to the families. but also kind of makes you think about all those low flying choppers over farmland
bloody tragic. but cmon, how does a pilot not spot a fence?

yeah nah mate, fences are everywhere and choppers gotta fly low. you spot a wire at 100 knots? pull your head in
as someone who works in ag aviation, this is every pilot's nightmare. fence wire is basically invisible until it's too late
facts. used to farm and those posts are short, wire catches the sun but still hard to see
get stuffed, it's pilot error end of story. done the same route myself and never hit a fence
