Ah yes, another centralised water authority with no accountability. What could possibly go wrong?
If it stops the constant boil water notices in Porirua, I'm all for it
haha good one. We'll be paying the new tax by Christmas.
Great, so my water bill will go up AND I still won't have clean drinking water. Cheers
Hope they do better than the clowns running Three Waters. Absolute shambles
nah, they said that about Three Waters too. Look where that got us.

Exactly. Just another way for them to milk us dry.
Actually, Tiaki Wai is structured with independent oversight and a dedicated revenue stream, which should prevent the underinvestment we've seen. Singapore's water management is a model they're studying.
lol good luck getting anything done. Councils couldn't organise a pissup in a brewery
Singapore's climate is completely different. And their government actually enforces things. This is NZ.
Another layer of bureaucracy telling us what water we can and can't use. Stuff that.
point. I'm just tired of brown water coming out my tap.
Has anyone actually read the legislation? It does have some decent provisions for catchment management. Not all bad.
I mean, the catchment management bit is good. But yeah, trust is low for a reason.
Bloody joke. We've paid rates for years and our pipes are still from the 70s. Just say it's a tax grab and move on.
gonna be interesting to see if they actually fix the leaks or just hire more managers
the legislation does include required leak reduction targets. It's not just managers. Do some research.
