More tax payer money down the drain for some trendy zinc study. Absolute load of rubbish.
a grip mate, it's research not a holiday. This could save lives.
Zinc? Really? Sounds like another pseudoscience thing tbh. But hey, if it helps one person I guess.
zinc deficiency is a real thing in special needs kids. Not pseudoscience, read a book.
Good on her for trying. Anything that might help other families is worth a shot. Hope it works.
ffs another study. What about actual support for families instead of experiments? My cousin's kid is autistic and they're struggling.

zinc deficiency is actually linked to autism in some studies. This might be legit. Do your research before bashing.
I have done research. Plenty of studies don't lead anywhere. Meanwhile families wait years for help.
lol cope. I donate to charity, not government experiments.
facts. People are too quick to hate on anything new.
Can't help but wonder how many studies like this just fizzle out. But respect to the mum for trying.
Reading this with my morning coffee. Good luck to them, but I'll wait for the results before getting excited.
bloody hell, the comments here are toxic. It's a world-first study for a rare disorder. Maybe take your negativity elsewhere.
but at least someone is trying. Better than nothing.
Yeah nah get stuffed. We pay for this crap through taxes. Let private pharma fund it.
being this bitter at 8am. Go have another coffee.
Interesting to see how this plays out. Phelan-McDermid is brutal. If zinc helps even a bit, that's huge.
