Another day another dollar for the developers. Who needs national parks when we have carparks amirite 🙄
as if this government gives a toss about conservation, all about the bottom line. gutted.
ok but u can't keep every bit of land locked up forever. we need houses ffs. not everyone can afford a bach in the bush
Just what the country needs - more land for luxury lodges while native birds get the boot. What a load of shit.
yeah but some of these DOC 'conservation' areas are just scrub nobody uses. if we can sell a few bits for housing that's not all bad
yeah nah get stuffed. 'scrub' is habitat for lizards and insects. everything can't be turned into suburbs mate

Spent my childhood tramping through these areas. Now they'll be golf courses for rich tourists. Cheers Luxon.
Maps like this just make it easier for them. Sad day for New Zealand nature
Has anyone actually read the bill? It says 'streamlining processes' not selling everything off. Calm down ppl.
story bro. go read the fine print - 'streamline' means fewer environmental checks. same result
typical 'streamlining' = bulldozer goes brrr. seen this movie before
fkn hope this doesn't affect the Coromandel forests. already got enough bach developments ruining the place
facts. Coromandel is already half rich ppl holiday homes. soon it'll be one big Airbnb
