$111k on fuel in three months? That's like double my yearly salary just to drive the mayor around I bet.
exactly my thoughts. they'll call it a 'levy' or something
fuel costs up 42% but rates not affected? yeah nah get stuffed, they'll just find another sneaky way to charge us
mate we're keeping the parks clean and the roads patched, be thankful
I work for the council and even I'm scratching my head at where all that fuel's going. But hey, at least rates aren't going up... yet 😅
what a load of shit. 'not expected to affect rates' they say. just you wait till the next election cycle

facts. and they wonder why we're cynical
Maybe if they stopped driving those big utes around town for meetings that could be a zoom call we'd save a bit. Common sense really.
nah but seriously, our fleet's full of gas guzzlers. needs a rethink
42.5% increase is massive but honestly the price at the pump has been ridiculous so no surprise there. At least they're not passing it on this time.
Robin Martin writing articles about fuel costs while probably driving a diesel ute himself lol
lol we get the vanpool going but nobody uses it
I'll believe it when I see it. Rates always go up somehow, they just find another excuse. 😒
😂 stay tuned for the next announcement: 'council introduces new walking tax'
