Oh great, another 18 months of our taxes pissing away on some fancy renovations while the hospital roofs still leak. Get stuffed.
Yeah nah, about time they fixed it. But 18 months? That's a bloody long time. Wonder where they'll work from.
Facts! But can you imagine how much they'll spend on 'consultants'? Millions probably.
Imagine the rental they'll be paying for temporary offices. Probably some mates' building. 😉
How about they just work from home like the rest of us did during lockdown? Save a fortune.
point, but then they'd just claim internet allowance and charge more for electricity. Never win.

I walk past the Beehive every day. It does look a bit shabby tbh. But 18 months seems excessive for a paint job.
Probably full of asbestos knowing our luck. Everything in this country is held together with hope and masking tape.
was my first thought too. Ffs why can't they just tell us the truth?
Let's just bulldoze it and start again. That building's hideous anyway. Concrete mushroom gimmick.
Classic government mismanagement. They knew it was stuffed years ago but kept putting it off. Now we pay the price.
and the acoustics in there must be terrible, all that concrete. Might be an improvement tbh.
right. But they'll hire some Auckland firm to do it and it'll go over budget. Standard.
