FFS another landfill? We already smell the stink from the last one all the way in Te Atatu. But hey, at least it's fast-tracked so the mates can line their pockets faster 🤑
About time someone deals with our waste. You can't just bury your head in the sand and hope it goes away. Got to go somewhere.
Dome Valley is such a beautiful area, why would they ruin it with a dump? So short-sighted.
I work in the industry, and trust me, we need more proper landfills. The amount of illegal dumping is crazy cos there's nowhere to take stuff.
there will still be illegal dumping cos the fees will be too high. Mark my words.
fast-track this, fast-track that. Meanwhile the locals get no say. Democracy right?

It's not about 'no say' — the legal process was abused by NIMBYs. We can't keep having everything delayed by court cases.
Remember when they promised no more mega dumps? Yeah nah that aged well. Watch the mayor slap himself on the back for this one.
what a load of shit
At least this company is trying to do it properly, unlike some fly-by-night operators.
lol 'properly' says the bloke who probably lives miles away from it.
