oh great, another landfill in someone else's backyard. classic nimby bait but honestly who wants this crap near them?
but where else is it gonna go? We can't just dump it in the ocean lol
Fast track? yeah nah get stuffed. We've got enough landfills and they never sort the leachate properly. rivers already fucked
spoken like someone who doesn't live here mate. easy to say from your comfy suburb
been in waste management for 15 years. this site's been studied to death. it's either this or we ship our trash to some other region. pick your poison
checks out. Must be nice to profit off our misery

what a load of shit
I live near the proposed site. We already have trucks rumbling past at 5am. This is gonna ruin what's left of our quality of life.
facts. but councils won't enforce recycling. too hard basket
maybe if people actually recycled properly we wouldn't need mega dumps. just saying. but nah too hard for most kiwis apparently
waste management has deep pockets. of course they'll get their fast track. democracy is a joke
the consent got appealed, took years. now they wanna skip the appeals. pretty much
So the consents were given in 2021 but nothing happened? What changed? smells dodgy
